Clinical Hypnotherapy

What is clinical hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy uses specific techniques whilst you are comfortably relaxing under hypnosis, to address a variety of concerns and unwanted behaviours.

Hypnosis is a guided state of deep relaxation. In this state, and solely for therapeutic purposes, beneficial suggestions are delivered to re-navigate you away from negative patterns of behaviour, and to replace them with acceptable and/or positive behaviours.

In this way hypnotherapy can support your health and wellbeing. It does not make you do something you don’t want to do.

Clinical hypnotherapy is very helpful in a range of conditions such as anxiety, chronic pain, insomnia, low confidence as well as physical symptoms such as irritable bowel syndrome and migraines.

In clinical hypnotherapy, the therapist supports the client in making beneficial personal change and development.

As is the case with coaching and counselling, prior to treatment, the therapist will want to know your medical history, background, and to discuss with you fully what you would benefit from addressing in the sessions.
